Retirees 65+ and Those Enrolled in the Benistar Plan

2026 OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR PARTICIPATING MEDICARE-ELIGIBLE RETIREES IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.

The current Benistar plan administered through United American will be discontinued December 31, 2025. However, there will be four new plan options for Medicare-eligible retirees, which will all be administered by Benistar. Expand the drop down options below to review the different plan options. 

Retirees on the current Benistar supplement plan through United American will be auto enrolled into the new Premium supplement plan through The Hartford effective 1/1/2026. No action is required unless you would like to opt into the Premier, Choice, or Classic Medicare advantage plans through BlueCross BlueShield. 

Please be advised, you must be actively enrolled in both Medicare Part A & B to qualify for this coverage. If you have questions about any of the Benistar plans, or would like to switch to one of the Medicare advantage plans, please contact Benistar at 800-236-4782.

Non-Medicare Retirees

2026 OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR PARTICIPATING NON-MEDICARE RETIREES IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.
Retirees and dependents currently participating in the Village's dental, vision, and non-Medicare health insurance plans will have their selections automatically carried over to 2026. Those who would like to make changes to their insurance must contact the Human Resources Management department during the open enrollment period listed above.
