Board of Trustees
The Village Board of Trustees is a nonpartisan elected body comprised of one mayor and six trustees who are elected to four-year terms to serve at-large. The at-large structure means that the Mayor and each Trustee serve the entire community, which is different than some cities that elect council members by ward or district.
The Village of Hoffman Estates operates under the council-manager form of government, which combines the leadership talents of the elected officials with the professional expertise of the Village Manager and Village staff.
