Pharmaceutical Disposal Program

The Hoffman Estates Police Department, in partnership with the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Department, provides a safe and convenient way for residents to dispose of unused or expired medications. A secure collection receptacle is located inside our police station lobby, which is open 24/7.

Please note:

• No liquid pharmaceutical drugs

• No loose pills (must be in a container or packaging)

• No food or other waste

This program helps prevent accidental misuse and protects the environment by keeping medications out of our water supply and landfills.
