2025 Public Heartsaver CPR/AED Classes

Healthcare Provider (BLS) Classes Offered by Appointment

Healthcare Provider is required CPR certification for doctors, nurses or paramedics. Certification is good for two years through the American Heart Association (AHA).
CPR

All courses are taught by American Heart Association (AHA) certified instructors. Instructors facilitate
the classes using instructional videos, AHA course-specific instructional printed materials, and hands-on instruction.

Class Location

All classes are held in the lower level of Fire Station 24, located at 5775 Beacon Pointe Drive.

Registration Policy

Please call 847-843-4825 to register for any of the above classes at least one week prior to the class date. Fees must be prepaid at least six days prior to the first day of class. Fees cover the cost of the class, materials and text. There is a maximum of eight students per class. If there are less than five students registered, the class may be cancelled. If the class is canceled by the Fire Department, you may reschedule your class to another offered date or receive a full refund.

Refund Policy

If registered and you cannot or do not attend:

  • Full refund if canceled at least one week in advance.
  • 50 percent refund if canceled less than three days in advance.
  • You may reschedule a class within two weeks of the original class date using your previous payment. Any class that a student reschedules within two weeks of the class date will result in a 50% forfeiture of fee.
  • If you do not attend a rescheduled class and do not give proper notice as stated above, you will forfeit the entire registration fee.
