The Hoffman Estates Fire Department serves the Village of Hoffman Estates —24 hours a day, 7 days a week— along with a small portion of the Village of South Barrington. The Department currently employs 93 full-time personnel, 87 of whom are assigned to one of our four fire stations. There are a minimum of 23 firefighters on-duty every day to provide immediate response to fire, rescue and emergency medical incidents.

All of our line firefighters are licensed paramedics working within the Northwest Community Hospital Emergency Medical System. The Department maintains specialists in Dive Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue, Investigations and Public Education. We work closely with our neighboring departments and are members of Division 1 MABAS (Mutual Aid Box Alarm System). The Department typically runs about 6,500 calls each year.
