Residential Rental Property License

The BS&A Online Certificate Renewal is OpenAll renewal licenses and fees will be processed in BS&A.

You can renew your certificate online by following the link: Certificate Renewal | Village of Hoffman Estates | BS&A Online from there you will be directed to enter your certificate number and update any information if applicable.

All renewals and payments are due by March 31, 2026. Licenses will be printed and sent 1st class mail after required signatures are obtained.

Please note that Residential Rental Property Licenses will now run on an April 1 – March 31 term.
Program OverviewAll Residential Rental Properties are required to be licensed and inspected annually. The Village follows the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), with local amendments (Section 11-1-2-F). 

Rental Unit with Interior Common Areas: $75 annually
Rental Unit without Common Areas: $150 annually
Reinspection Fees: $50 per each reinspection
