Programs

The Hoffman Estates Police Department is proud to offer a variety of programs designed to build partnerships, promote safety, and engage our community. Opportunities include the Citizens Police Academy, Hoffman Estates Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (HECPAAA), First Responder Academy for Teens, Peer Jury, Premise Alert Program, and Public Safety Cadets. Each program provides a unique way for residents to learn, get involved, and make a positive impact in Hoffman Estates.

  • Citizens Police Academy -  A hands-on program that gives residents an inside look at police operations and public safety.
  • HECPAAA - A volunteer group of academy graduates who continue supporting police and community initiatives.
  • First Responder Academy For Teens - An interactive program introducing teens to careers in law enforcement, fire, and emergency services.
  • Peer Jury - A restorative justice program where trained teen volunteers help their peers take responsibility for minor offenses.
  • Premise Alert Program - A registry that helps first responders better assist residents with special needs during emergencies.
  • Public Safety Cadets -A career exploration program for young adults interested in law enforcement and public safety.
