With winter weather here, our team is prepared for the winter season. We are stocked up on salt and de-icing liquids, have thoroughly checked and maintained equipment, and trained staff on new machinery and updated procedures to improve our response capabilities.

Our plowing operations begin when two (2) inches or more of snowfall has accumulated (based on reports from O’Hare Airport). Snow removal procedures call for major streets to be plowed first, followed by side streets and cul-de-sacs.

To ensure efficient snow removal, avoid shoveling or blowing snow into the streets or onto fire hydrants. Parking on Village streets is prohibited for eight hours after a snowfall or two inches or more, or until the street has been cleared. For safety, remind children to stay away from streets while playing in the snow.
