In partnership with SCARCE, Hoffman Estates Public Works, located at 2305 Pembroke Ave.,is a participating location for the Pumpkin Smash on Saturday, Nov. 7., during the Public Works Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns to the Open House for composting...don't trash it, smash it! Please remove candles and other decorations for the Pumpkin Smash event.

Can't make the Pumpkin Smash event? Drop pumpkins off at Public Works anytime starting Nov. 2 through 1 p.m. on Nov. 7. Look for posted signs for directions on where to drop off pumpkins.
