Using branches collected through tree trimming and brush pick-up programs, Hoffman Estates Public Works makes wood chips available for free to residents throughout the year. 

Residents may pick up wood chips; which make excellent mulch for trees, shrubs and planting areas; during daylight hours at the Fleet Maintenance Facility, 2405 Pembroke Ave., Monday through Friday after 3 p.m. or anytime on Saturdays and Sundays. 

Residents should bring a shovel and their own container(s). Proof of residency is required. Wood chips may also be delivered as a full or half load by Public Works. For questions, call 847-490-6800.
