Construction projects in residential areas throughout the Village are ramping up this spring, with work being done by AT&T, Comcast, ComEd and others to upgrade and improve their infrastructure.

This work is being permitted in accordance with agreements that allow utilities access within the publicly owned right-of-way. These projects are not related to or sponsored by the Village of Hoffman Estates.

While most construction is taking place in rights-of-way, there are some cases where utility companies may need access to utility easements located along property lines, which can include areas in residential back yards. Utilities and/or their contractors are responsible for restoring any area disturbed during construction.
