Hoffman Estates residents are able to put out unlimited yard waste on their regular collection day from the beginning of April through the end of November of each year. Yard waste stickers are not required for this program.

Acceptable yard waste can be prepared as follows:

• Paper landscape bags (not to exceed 50 lbs.)
• Brush bundles (not to exceed 50 lbs., 5’ in length, 24” in diameter and no limbs greater than 5” in diameter)
• Resident-supplied rigid plastic containers (not to exceed 50 lbs. or 32 gallons)
• Yard waste specific Groot toter cart (rental fee $30/year, billed $2.50/month)

In addition to yard waste, residents using their own rigid plastic container or a Groot yard waste cart may include organic food scraps along with yard waste for composting. Organic compost waste will not be accepted in paper landscape bags.
