Hoffman Estates' free curbside spring tree branch pickup program is underway, with collection in Zone A during the week of April 20. PLEASE NOTE - this program is separate from the unlimited yard waste pickup program offered by Groot and has different requirements. 

If branches are too large, are mixed with unacceptable materials or have not been prepared properly, they will not be picked up. Only one collection pass will be made for each street. Please do not ask for exceptions.

Public Works crews WILL accept:

• Tree branches no larger than 8 inches in diameter or 10 feet in length
• Shrub trimmings and similar brush
• Branches from willow trees if separated from other materials

Public Works crews will NOT accept:

• Tree trunks, stumps or root balls
• Firewood
• Railroad ties or landscape timbers
• Grass clippings, leaves, sod, plants or yard waste

On the first date of pickup listed for your area, neatly stack branches at curbside by 7 a.m. Face the cut ends toward the street. Do not tie branches in bundles or place in any container. Do not allow branches to protrude into the street or block sidewalks.

Branch pickup schedule:

1. ZONE A:  Beginning April 20 - All streets north of the Tollway (I-90). All streets west of Route 59.
2. ZONE B: Beginning April 27 - All streets within the boundaries north of Golf Road, south of the Tollway, east of Barrington Road and west of Roselle Road.
3. ZONE C: Beginning May 4 - All streets within the boundaries north of Schaumburg Road, south of Golf Road, east of Barrington Road and west of Roselle Road.
4. ZONE D:  Beginning May 11 - All streets within the boundaries north of Schaumburg Road, south of Golf Road, east of Roselle Road and west of Plum Grove Road.
