The Hoffman Estates Police Department is proud to offer the opportunity for young adults to participate in the Public Safety Cadet Program. This program is intended for individuals ages 14 to 20 who have an interest in law enforcement careers and want to create positive impacts in their community.

Public Safety Cadets will train with veteran officers in a variety of law enforcement skill sets such as traffic accident investigations, handling domestic disputes, crimes in progress, and other tactical skills. Cadets will be able to test their knowledge at state and national competitions. Cadets work closely with sworn personnel and assist during annual community events like the Northwest Fourth-Fest.
