The US National Weather Service is predicting extreme cold weather conditions with dangerous windchills Jan. 19-20 and again Jan. 24-26.

The Village of Hoffman Estates, in cooperation with the Hoffman Estates Park District, will open the designated cooling and warming centers when extreme weather is predicted to provide assistance.
