Update on Village's new water billing system
Water bills were issued two weeks late this February due to a switchover in billing systems. Even though the statement lists Feb. 20 as the due date, no late charges will be issued for February water bills.
Water customers who had previously signed up for the automatic payment system had payments automatically processed on Feb. 20. Some customers will need to update their automated payment information; those customers will be directly contacted by the Village. Several Payment Options Available That Do Not Incur Processing Fees
Customers who pay by credit card or E-Check can avoid processing fees (other than for the initial payment) by signing up for the auto pay option either when completing a payment or after a successful payment. Instructions for signing up are available in the FAQ section in the self-service portal. For one-time, non-recurring payments; credit card, debit card and E-Check payments are subject to processing fees, as has been the case for both the old and new payment systems. Customers who pay directly from their own bank's website and those mailing or dropping off a paper check do not incur a processing fee.
