Those looking to purchase a local themed holiday gift can stop at the Clerk's office at Village Hall during regular business hours for custom ornaments and history books.

The ornaments feature miniature paintings of Hoffman Estates scenes from local artist Ed Cook, as well as a limited edition ornament commemorating Hoffman Estate's 50th anniversary.

The books, The Village of Hoffman Estates: An Atypical Suburb and Hoffman Estates: Continuing the Growth to Greatness, chronicle early and recent history. Both include forwards written by Mayor Bill McLeod.
