Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast
The Cultural Awareness Commission cordially invites the community to celebrate its 22nd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast on Monday, Jan. 19. This free, joyful event will begin promptly at 8 a.m. with breakfast at Village Hall.
This event celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., one of history’s most inspiring and influential civil rights leaders. Dr. King’s example of sacrifice, service and conviction in the face of great injustice reminds us that positive change is possible when we all join together in solidarity.
Tony Bradburn will return with his message: “How MLK Jr. leveraged the law to affect change.” Tony has worked in education as a teacher and administrator for over 27 years and is currently the principal at Sunny Hill Elementary School in Barrington School District 220. The event also features the Holy Archangels Adult Choir.
Seating is very limited and reservations are accepted on a first come, first-served basis through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, or until the event is full. There is a limit of four persons per reservation. Call Hallie Karle at 847-781-2606 or email Hallie.Karle@vohe.org to reserve your spot today.
Donations of non-perishable food items or new hats and gloves will be accepted during this event to help restock our community food pantries for the winter.
We hope you will be able to attend this uplifting celebration!
