The seasonal electronics recycling drop-off program provides an opportunity for residents to properly dispose of household electronics at a convenient location each Monday (excluding holidays) from April through mid-November. Click HERE for a list of accepted items.

In 2026, this program begins April 6th and concludes November 16th at Hoffman Estates Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road.

Annual Recycling Extravaganza

The annual recycling and shredding event is held the fourth Saturday in August at the Public Works Center, 2305 Pembroke Ave . At this event, the Village accepts a variety of items for proper disposal, typically including electronics, light bulbs, batteries, paint, textiles, and documents for shredding.

Community Pride Awards

Each year, the Village’s Sustainability Commission invites residents to nominate homes and homeowners associations that go above and beyond to beautify the community. Special recognition is given to properties that incorporate sustainable landscaping practices, such as rain barrels and native plantings. Nominations are accepted each August.
