The seasonal electronics recycling drop-off program provides an opportunity for residents to properly dispose of household electronics at a convenient location each Monday (excluding holidays) from April through mid-November. Click HERE for a list of accepted items.

In 2025, this program begins April 1 and concludes November 17 at Public Works Fleet Services, 2405 Pembroke Ave.

Annual Recycling Extravaganza

The annual recycling and shredding event is held the fourth Saturday in August at the Public Works Center, 2305 Pembroke Ave . At this event, the Village accepts a variety of items for proper disposal, typically including electronics, light bulbs, batteries, oil-based paint, textiles, and documents for shredding.

Community Pride Awards

Each year, the Village's Sustainability Commission accepts nominations from the public that honor homes and homeowners associations that go above and beyond in beautifying our Village. Special recognition is given for properties that utilize sustainable landscaping practices, such as rain barrels and native plantings. Nominations are accepted in July and August each year.
