The Village Board approved the Hoffman Estates Sustainability Plan in December 2019. The Plan was developed with assistance from a grant-funded Metropolitan Mayors Caucus/AmeriCorps program.

The Sustainability Plan focuses on creating operational efficiencies, reducing costs, and supporting the Village’s long-term success. It highlights sustainability initiatives already in place and identifies potential programs and projects that strengthen the long-term viability of Village operations and municipal services.

By planning for sustainability, the Village can operate more efficiently, make better use of taxpayer resources, and continue providing reliable services both today and in the future.
