Commission for People With Disabilities
The Commission for People With Disabilities was formed to develop services to assist the disabled members of the community meet practical problems and adjust to the changing circumstances and finances which affect them. The Commission also helps decreases the sense of isolation, loneliness and dependence that often effect the disabled community and helps enrich the social and intellectual life of those with disabilities through educational and social programs. In addition to assessing the housing needs for all of the community's people, the commission inform the Boards of Trustees of state and federal legislation affecting older adults and people with disabilities.
