Extended Seasonal Brush Drop-off Program - 2020

In response to the cancellation of the 2020 spring brush/branch pickup program due to staffing constraints caused by the COVID-19 pandemic response, the Village is extending the brush drop-off program this year. Residents may bring brush to the Public Works Vehicle Maintenance Facility, 2405 Pembroke Avenue, on the first and third Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. free of charge. This program will begin on May 2, 2020 and runs through September 19, 2020. We will be accepting residential brush/branches only (no commercial loads), and proof of residency is required. For more information, call 847-490-6800.

Selected 2018 Accomplishments

  • The division was awarded Tree City USA recognition. This is the 27th consecutive year the Village has received this honor.
  • Continued the annual Arbor Day Program with the 3rd grade class from Frank C. Whiteley Elementary School.
  • Purchased and commissioned a new replacement grapple truck, an essential piece of equipment for the division.
  • In addition to the regularly scheduled spring and fall branch collection programs, the division performed a large-scale special branch collection program in response to severe winter weather in late November.

If you suspect that a tree in your neighborhood has been infested with the Emerald Ash Borer, please contact the Public Works Department.
