RIP

Inspecting residential properties is the process of looking at all the single-family homes in the village and making the homeowners aware of any deficiencies. The inspections will be of the exterior only of the homes but will also include front, side, and rear yards. We will not be going onto private property or requesting entry into homes. When a violation is observed, it will be noted and a letter will be sent advising the homeowner of the deficiency and a time frame to achieve compliance.

Some of the things we will look at:

  • Pools
  • Grass/Weeds over 8”
  • Vehicle storage
  • Parkway obstructions
  • Work without permits
  • Sheds
  • Roofs
  • Fences
  • Driveways
  • Improper storage
  • Exterior surfaces
  • Sanitation
  • Address numbers
  • Garbage can placement
