Residential Lock Box Program 

When the Hoffman Estates Fire Department arrives at your home, time can be lost trying to gain access to your home. In case of medical emergencies, every second counts. This is where the Residential Lock Box Program comes into play.

The lockbox program provides a secure way for fire department personnel to enter a home when called to provide emergency assistance. This can be especially important for elderly or disabled residents. Using a lockbox, residents can provide a spare key for fire and EMS personnel to access your residence, savings time and/or property repairs if emergency responders must force their way into the home.

Only the Hoffman Estates Fire Department has access to lockbox keys. If an emergency occurs, responders are notified of the lockbox and can gain quick entry into the home to provide care and assistance.

To request a lock box for your home, please come to Fire Administration at the Village Hall.
