Snow and winter weather information

Post Date:01/31/2020 8:30 AM

With winter upon us, please consider these reminders:

The Department of Public Works subscribes to a certified local meteorological firm that monitors conditions and weather patterns that are forecast to arrive and affect the Village. This provides for the timely and efficient deployment of key personnel and required equipment. Major streets are plowed first, then side streets and culs-de-sac.

Please remember:

There is no parking allowed on Village streets for eight hours after a two-inch snowfall until the street has been cleared
• Do not shovel snow into the street or onto a fire hydrant
• Remind children building snow forts to stay away from the street

For more information, call Public Works at 847-490-6800.

Weather-related power outages should be reported to ComEd as soon as possible by calling 1-800-EDISON-1, visiting or using the ComEd App.
