Did you know that basic maintenance and upkeep of roads in the Village of Hoffman Estates are the responsibility of different agencies? This includes snow plowing, as well as repairing potholes, road construction, traffic signs and traffic signal timing. The Village does not plow Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) or county roads.

IDOT has jurisdiction over the following roads (IDOT also maintains traffic signals on these roads):

  • Algonquin Road (Rt. 62)
  • Barrington Road
  • Golf Road (Rt. 58)
  • Higgins Road (Rt. 72)
  • Palatine Road
  • Sutton Road (Rt. 59)

Cook County Highway Department has jurisdiction over the following roads:

  • Bartlett Road
  • Bode Road (west of Braintree Drive to Barrington Road)
  • Bradwell Road
  • Central Road
  • Ela Road
  • Huntington Boulevard/Freeman Road (between Mundhank Road and Algonquin Road)
  • Mundhank Road
  • Old Sutton Road (north of Higgins Road)
  • Plum Grove Road
  • Roselle Road
  • Schaumburg Road
  • Shoe Factory Road

Illinois Tollway has jurisdiction over I-90 Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (formerly Northwest Tollway)
