Special brush & branch pickup continues through week of Dec. 17
Due to the large amount of tree damage that occurred during the snow storm on November 26, the Village began a special brush pickup program on December 3 to assist residents. Given the large volumes of debris, Public Works anticipates that the program will continue at least through the week of December 17. Crews are getting through areas as fast as possible, but the amount of storm debris is significant. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work our way through the Village.
Please note: If crews have already picked up brush from your street, they will not be returning a second time. Brush can also be dropped off at the Public Works facility located at 2405 Pembroke Ave. Should you have any specific questions, please contact Public Works via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 847-490-6800.
Tree debris must meet the usual standards to be picked up:
- Face the cut ends toward the street.
- Do not tie branches in bundles or place in any container.
- Do not allow branches to protrude into the street or block sidewalks.
Accepted Items: Tree Branches • Shrub Trimmings • Similar Brush • Willow Tree Branches
Tree branches should not be larger than 8” in diameter or 10’ in length. Willow tree branches must be separate from other material.
Items Not Accepted: Stumps • Root Balls • Firewood • Landscape Timber • Lumber • Fence Posts
These items may be disposed of during garbage collection.
