The Hoffman Estates Police Department hosts 2 sessions of the Citizen Police Academy a year.

The spring 2008 session will begin on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Classes run for 12 weeks and meet at 6:30 pm at the Police Department.

The Fall 2008 session will begin on August 26, 2008.

Classes will be held at the Police Department on every Tuesday during the session from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

The members of the Hoffman Estates Police Department felt it was time to better inform the citizens about the workings of their Police Department. In 1999, the Police Department hosted their first Citizen Police Academy to try and address this. The Academy was a hit!
