The 2012 Click It or Ticket campaign will run from Monday, May 21, to Sunday, June 3. Officers throughout the state, including the Village of Hoffman Estates Police Department, will be working around the clock to save lives by cracking down on those who don't wear their seatbelt. The new Illinois seatbelt law requires that all occupants in a vehicle must be wearing a seatbelt and properly secure a child in a child passenger restraint. The goal of this campaign is to remind people to buckle up and secure their children every time they get behind the wheel. This simple action will save you money, and, ultimately, your life.
