Pace Park-n-Ride & Expanding I-90 Bus Service
Pace now plans to start up express bus operations serving the Barrington Road Park-n-Ride / Kiss-n-Ride in 2018. Their previous plan had been to begin in late 2017 but due to some delays in construction, this unfortunately has been pushed back. The I-90 express bus expansion will provide a connection from the Barrington Road station on I-90 to the Rosemont River Road CTA station as well as the Northwest Transportation Center in Schaumburg. From Rosemont, riders can transfer to the CTA for trips towards downtown Chicago or to O'Hare Airport. Pace's Winter 2017 / 2018 brochure can be found via the link below.
In December 2016, Pace, the regional bus agency, started expanding express bus service along the Jane Addams Tollway (I-90) by opening the Park-n-Ride operation at Randall Road. In December 2017, the Park-n-Ride at IL 25 will open. The service includes connections to Elgin, Schaumburg and the Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line Station in Rosemont, which links to downtown Chicago and O'Hare International Airport.
Pace is exploring ways to provide shuttle service to the new Express Bus Station on I-90 at Barrington Road. Results from a prior survey are being evaluated and more information about the findings is expected to be available in coming months.
The exhibit showing the transit facilities along with pedestrian and bicycle connections being built with the Barrington Road full interchange project can be found at the link below.
