Build a Birdhouse
May 11 - At this time, all places for Build a Birdhouse are full. Thank you for your interest!Children are invited to “Build a Birdhouse,” sponsored by the Village of Hoffman Estates Sustainability Commission, on Saturday, May 14, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow Public Works Center, 2305 Pembroke Ave.
The Commission will present a brief information session about bird nesting starting at 9 a.m. and Commission members, along with members of the Carpenter’s Local Union 839 will be on hand to assist children and their parents with birdhouse construction. Each child will be able to take home the birdhouse he or she builds. The event is free but requires an RSVP. As this is a family-friendly activity, parents should plan to attend.
Materials will be supplied by the Sustainability Commission. Please bring a battery- operated screwdriver with a Phillips-head bit, or a medium Phillips-head screwdriver.
