Free movie screening on March 19
A new documentary film highlights the “maker movement”, an outlet where students, hobbyists, professionals and novices are gathering together to find fun and creative solutions to everyday problems, engineer basic and complicated tools, and build beautiful works of art. On Thursday, March 19, in partnership with the Golden Corridor Advanced Manufacturing Partnership (GCAMP), “Maker the Movie” will be screened to the public for free at 7 p.m. at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court in Schaumburg. Register today at www.makerthemoviegcamp.eventbrite.com.
GCAMP is a local group of educators, advanced manufacturers, training organizations and municipalities that provide employment opportunities to students who seek technical and skilled careers in manufacturing. To learn more about their mission and student internships, visit www.gcamp.org.
