Black History Day Celebration Event - 2/5/2018
Friendship Tree-Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 22
The Village of Hoffman Estates’ annual Friendship Tree-Lighting Ceremony will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m. in front of the main entrance of the Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road.
The event will start with a fantastic fireworks display. Entertainment will be provided by The Noteables, a local singing group, and dancers from HOTT Productions, a local nonprofit theater troupe. Light refreshments will be served. This is the eighth year with our permanent living tree outside Village Hall. As the years pass, we hope the tree serves as a reminder of our community’s commitment to friendship and the environment.
A donation of canned goods or personal toiletry items would be appreciated to replenish area food pantries. Drop-offs can be made in the Village Hall lobby throughout the year.
This free family-friendly event fills up quickly, so plan to arrive early for a good seat. For more information, call 847-781-2606.
